Congratulations to Professor Shen Zuowei & Professor Gan Wee Teck
Congratulations to Professor Shen Zuowei and Professor Gan Wee Teck on the appointments as “Distinguished Professor” and “Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor” respectively, with effect from 1 January 2022.
The Distinguished Professorship is awarded to a senior faculty member who has demonstrated the following qualities:
- Excellence and international recognition in research and creative activity together with Significant and impactful leadership in raising standards of the University with respect to research or creative activity, education and service.
The Centennial Professorships were established specially to commemorate the University’s centenary, with the objective of:
- Attracting overseas distinguished visiting scholars whose presence will have long-term strategic value to the University.
- Recognizing distinguished and deserving faculty members with credentials comparable to those from abroad, allows them to concentrate on their research and enhance their scholarly reputations.
