Congratulations to Professor Toh Kim Chuan for being awarded the Leo Tan Professorship in Science 2022. The appointment term is effective from 1 July 2022 for a period of three years.
Leo Tan Professorship in Science
The Leo Tan Professorship in Science was set up in 2013 to award Professors who demonstrate international recognition in all disciplines of science.
Professor Toh Kim Chuan (Mathematics)
Professor Toh’s work in the area of optimisation is characterised by strong theoretical rigour and close attention to applications. He is the recipient of several recent awards including the Farkas Prize of the INFORMS Optimization Society (2017), the University Research Recognition Award (2018) and the Singapore President’s Science Award (2019). He has served on the editorial boards of six journals in the area of optimisation, and is an elected fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
