Chair
Gan Wee Teck is Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor and Head of Department of Mathematics at the National University of Singapore (NUS). As a Distinguished Professor of Mathematics, he is known for his work on automorphic forms and representation theory in the context of the Langlands program, especially the theory of theta correspondence, the Gan–Gross–Prasad conjecture and the Langlands program for Brylinski–Deligne covering groups.
He was a recipient of the American Mathematical Society Centennial Fellowship (2002–2003), Sloan Research Fellowship (Math, 2003) and the President’s Science Award 2017 (Singapore), as well as an Invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) in 2014 (Number Theory section), and a Fellow of the Singapore National Academy of Science (since 2018).

Chung Piaw Teo is Provost’s Chair Professor in NUS Business School and concurrently the Executive Director of the Institute of Operations Research and Analytics (IORA) in the National University of Singapore.He is Co-Director of the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corp Lab and Director of the Center on Modern Logistics in Chongqing-NUS Research Institute. With a focus on optimization and supply chainmanagement, Professor Teo is trying to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical applications of OR and Analytics in business and engineering.
He was a fellow in the Singapore-MIT Alliance Program, an Eschbach Scholar at Northwestern University (US), a Professor in Sungkyunkwan Graduate School of Business (Korea), and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at YuanZe University (Taiwan). He is department editor for MS (Optimization) and a former area editor for OR (Operations and Supply Chains). He was elected Fellowof INFORMS and appointed Changjiang Scholar (USTC) in 2019 and awarded a Public Administration Medal (Silver) by the Singapore Government in 2023. He has also served on several international committees such as the Chair of the Nicholson Paper Competition (INFORMS, US), member of the LANCHESTER and IMPACT Prize Committee (INFORMS, US), Fudan Prize Committee on Outstanding Contribution to Management (China), and recently chaired the EIC search committee for Operations Research, an INFORMS journal.
Kim-Chuan Toh is a Singaporean mathematician, and Leo Tan Professor in Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is known for his contributions to the theory, practice, and application of convex optimization, especially semidefinite programming and conic programming. Toh received the 2017 INFORMS Optimization Society Farkas Prize, the 2018 Beale-Orchard-Hays Prize, triennial award for Excellence in Computational Mathematical Programming, Mathematical Optimization Society and 2019 President’s Science Award (Singapore). He is a fellow of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (Class of 2018).
Ying Chen is Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Interim Director of the Centre for Quantitative Finance at the National University of Singapore. She is a financial statistician and data scientist, focusing on non-stationary, high-frequency, and large dimensional complex data forecasting. She also works on quantitative fintech, quantitative finance, and quantum computing and algorithms. Dr. Chen is a Council Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) for the period 2023–2027, Scientific Secretary and Executive Committee member of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC), and chairperson-elect of the Asian Regional Section (ARS) of IASC. She is also PI of the Asian Institute of Digital Finance, and a Joint Appointee in the Risk Management Institute.
