Graduate Certificate in Deep Learning for Industry

This Graduate Certificate will introduce key topics relevant to data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Two courses will be offered under this programme:

• • DSA5102 Foundations of Machine Learning¹
    Machine learning is an exciting and fast-moving field in data science with many real-world applications and it has become a powerful tool for the analysis of large data sets. This course introduces the theory and methods of machine learning including the description of modern algorithms, their theoretical basis, and the illustration of their applications to real-world problems.

• • DSA5204 Deep Learning and Applications¹
    Deep learning is a powerful machine learning tool for Artificial Intelligence and data science, with a wide range of real-world applications. This course aims to introduce basic concepts, numerical algorithms, and computing frameworks in deep learning. The emphasis is on the numerical algorithms, implementation in industrial computing framework, and examination of real-world data-driven problems drawn from practical applications.

While these courses are existing courses which are offered to NUS graduate students, they can be taken as stand-alone courses by adult learners. This provides them the option of embarking on continuing education without having to commit to a full qualification upfront.
