The department has been working with some top Chinese Universities to offer the MSc in Mathematics (joint education) programme or “3 + 2 programme”. This is a coursework programme is targeted at students from participating Chinese Universities.
Applicants from these universities apply to read the MSc in Mathematics by Coursework (Track 2) programme in their third year undergraduate studies. Should they meet the continuation requirements in their first year in NUS, not only will they be moving on to their second year of graduate studies in NUS, they can use the credit and grade obtained towards fulfilling their undergraduate graduation requirement. Should they meet their graduation requirements in their second year in NUS, they will graduate with a MSc in Mathematics (by Coursework) degree to go along with their diploma or undergraduate degree. Students may also request to transfer to read other coursework programmes like MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning or MSc in Quantitative Finance if they meet eligibility at the end of their first year in NUS.
