MSc in Quantitative Finance (NUS-SJTU MQF)

Introduction

The program is offered by the Department of Mathematics at the National University of Singapore (NUS), in collaboration with the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Students would be spending their 1st semester study at the NUS campus and complete the rest of the programme at the SJTU campus. 

The programme aims at developing talented graduates with international outlook and high foreign language proficiency levels, who have in-depth knowledge in quantitative finance and are also capable of tackling practical issues of the financial industry in China.

The Master in Quantitative Finance degree will be awarded by NUS, and a certificate will be issued by SJTU.


This programme is a 40-unit programme consisting five essential and five elective courses. Each course carries 4 units, and comprises 12 sessions of 3-hour lectures, continuous assessments, midterms and final exams. The five essential courses will be offered by NUS. Students may choose any five courses from the list of elective courses offered by NUS and SJTU.  A student who enrolls in this full-time programme can complete it within one to two years.
