The Department offers a variety of programmes in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Finance, and also collaborates with other Faculty and/or Departments to offer multi-disciplinary programmes in Data Science and Analytics, and Computer Science and Mathematics.
Typically, a student is required to graduate with at least one Primary Major. But students are also encouraged to broaden their knowledge by reading Second Major or/and Minor in other subjects.
For Cohorts AY2020/2021 and Earlier:
Primary Major carries at least 60 Units (non-Honours) and 92 Units (Honours);
Second Major consists of at least 48 Units (excluding Cohorts AY2019/2020 and AY2020/2021);
Minor consists of at least 24 Units (excluding Cohorts AY2019/2020 and AY2020/2021).
For Cohorts AY2021/2022 Onwards:
Primary Major carries at least 60 units (no Specialization) and 80 Units (with Specialization);
Second Major consists of at least 40 units (also for Cohorts AY2019/2020 and AY2020/2021);
Minor consists of at least 20 units (also for Cohorts AY2019/2020 and AY2020/2021).
